Search with Keplar One works like a lens over the page you are on. Instead of copying text into a chat, you drag over what you are curious about: a paragraph, a chart, a product photo, a diagram. Keplar reads the words in that area and looks at a picture of it, asks several models, and answers in a panel beside the page.
Open it
- Right-click anywhere on a page and choose Search with Keplar One.
- Or click the Keplar One toolbar button and press Search with Keplar One.
The first time, a card explains what a search sends and asks you to continue. Nothing is sent before you agree, and the card only appears once.
Steps
- The page dims and a pill at the top reads "Select any text or image to search with Keplar One".
- Drag a box over the area. It lights up with a moving border, and the search starts by itself.
- A side panel opens with the answer: how many models agreed, the answer itself, and where the models differed if they did.
Next to the area you get Copy text (the words inside it), Translate (into your browser's language) and Copy as image. In the panel, quick prompts such as Explain this or Is this accurate? run a new search on the same area.
Follow up
Type into Ask a follow-up at the bottom of the panel. Keplar keeps the earlier questions and answers of that search, so "which side has better evidence?" makes sense. Dragging a new area starts a fresh search.
Close it
Press Escape or the close button. Scrolling the page is paused while the overlay is open.
Good to know
- Pictures are answered by models that can read images, so a search with a picture may use a few more credits than a text question.
- It covers the browser tab you opened it on, not other windows or the rest of your screen.
- Models can agree and still be wrong. For anything that matters, check the original source.
